Julie Reiskin has been a member of the board of directors of the Legal Services Corporation since 2010. She was appointed as a client representative by then-President Obama. She is the executive director of the Colorado Cross-Disability Coalition (CCDC). CCDC is a statewide organization run by and for people with all types of disabilities that advocates on social justice issues. She is also an adjunct faculty member of the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work. She also serves on the boards of ACLU Colorado and The Atlantis Community, home of the advocacy group ADAPT. She has extensive experience advocating that people with lived experience be included in policymaking that affects their lives. Her organizations' tag line is “Nothing about us without us….EVER!”
