Briane Cornish is very passionate about innovations that provide greater legal access and enhance the experiences of those who consume legal services or legal aid or appear in court. During law school, Briane gained a multi-disciplinary education through coursework at the Business and Design school in addition to her studies at Stanford Law School. Briane gained her policy experience during her work for DOJ-Criminal Justice Policy Division and for the lobbying nonprofit, National Employment Law Project. She most recently participated in LawWithoutWalls, a global, multi-disciplinary program focused on tackling cutting edge issues at the intersection of law, technology, and innovation. Briane currently consults on the subject of using technology or design to improve the experiences of those who utilize legal aid services. Her projects include designing a multi-lingual SMS intake system for MassLegalHelp and serving as Project Manager for CleanSlateDC, an eligibility web tool for sealing a criminal record.
